In South Luangwa National Par, Zambia, at the end of the dry season, some meanders of the river are isolated from the main bed of the Luangwa, forming lagoons where fish are trapped. Every day, yellow billed storks meet around Chendeni Lagoon to catch their breakfast.
Following the sun, sitted on the bank under the protection of a scout with a gun, as hippos and crocodiles are not far, I spent all the mornings with my camera with those magnificent birds (tantalus ibis). For this picture, the sun was on my side, and on the side of the storks. I have underexposed (-3ev), as I wished to enhance their silhouettes and their colourful bills under the black waters...

Graduated as an engineer, with a Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies in Signal and Image processing, I have taught Mathematics in high schools and engineering schools. A recent retirement allows me to devote myself fully to my passion for photography.
I'm a member of the Fédération Photographique de France (FPF). I have taken part in numerous competitions, both internal to the Federation and international, and the results obtained have earned me the distinctions of FPF Master and Excellence FIAP/Silver, as well as the FPF 2022 Grand Prix d'Auteur.
I exhibited my works in the most important Nature Festival in France as the Festival of Montier-en-Der, Phot’Aubrac and the Festival de la Camargue et du delta du Rhône.
Passionate about wildlife and humanist photography, I fell in love with sub-Saharian Africa, with its grandiose landscapes, its endearing people, its unique culture and its rich, exhilarating, fragile and hopeful wildlife.
