The basis of the series "Psyche" is the belief that both humans and animals are persons. Animals, just like people, have the right to a soul: they feel and they have their own character and personality. The opening artwork is a portrait of a lion with a tail shaped like a question mark, symbolizing that despite my empathy and research into their behavior, I don't know everything.
Among the artworks presented, there is a warm greeting between a Mother-Lion and her sons, showing that family values are present in the animal kingdom as well, and are very human. This is similar to Thomson's Gazelles, who form friendships and protect each other.
However, as with people, we can encounter individuals that we can misjudge. This can be observed in Zebras, which are beautiful but often have mean characters and this is one of the main reasons why they have not been domesticated. I supported this byby using light to 'blind' the viewer and hiding the Zebras’ details. On the other hand, Jackals are dangerous, yet I have mostly observed their delicacy, fear, and uncertainty in their steps. This delicacy is reinforced by soft light and the rosy tones of the artwork.
