This work was completed through digital processing, based on multiple photographs taken in various ways. An ancient pagoda and modern architecture coexist in contrast, centered around a natural lake. These two elements—one from the past and the other from the present—represent different eras and styles. Yet, the common thread between them is that both embody ideals and desires.
The lake, as a natural element, has remained unchanged over time. By positioning the ancient pagoda and modern structures together on this lake, the work highlights the interplay and contrast between these elements, emphasizing their underlying similarities. While creating this piece, I deeply reflected on the relationship between past and present, nature and humanity, and aimed to visually express the idea that, despite changes in time and environment, our ideals and desires remain constant.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I explore the relationship between the environment and human existence, examining the gap between natural elements and man-made structures. By combining subjects from different times or spaces, I overcome the limitations of single photographs and demonstrates the artistic potential of photography. My first project, In the Beginning (2021), won the bronze award in the architecture category at the 2023 Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA), and I received an Honorable Mention in the Professional category at the 2023 International Photography Awards (IPA). Since 2019, I have participated in various exhibitions and art fairs organized by Gil Fineart.
