In this self-portrait, taken from my ‘You Were Not Chosen’ series, I reveal myself in a play of contrasts and meanings. Painted white, my silhouette evokes a feeling of erasure and neutrality. This choice of colour symbolises my desire to transcend fixed identities, to free myself from the labels that confine me.
This hanging red thread represents a link, a connection with others and with my own emotions. It symbolises a struggle, a fragility, like a thread of life, struggling in silence.
It's a mirror of my inner struggles, a cry for identity in a canvas of white. It questions our perception of ourselves and the way we are seen, revealing that behind our appearance, each individual possesses a palette of colours and stories to tell.
