The Dolomites in Italy, also called the "Pale Mountains” due to the pale gray color of their rocks, which resembles that of the moon's surface, have always inspired a sense of awe and fear in the people who lived at their foot, giving rise to incredible stories and legends. These "straight from the camera" photographs were taken in the Tre Cime Natural Park, from the Auronzo Refuge to Tre Cime di Lavareto.
I chose to capture these images in black and white to emphasize the imaginary dialogue between lights and shadows, between real forms and the phantasms created by my imagination.

Elena Raceala is a semi-professional Romanian photographer and currently works as nurse at the County and Emergency Clinical Hospital Constanta.
She discovered her passion for photography in 2013 during a trip to Naples and since that moment, part of her, lives through photography. She loves to travel and document every place she passes through.
Along the way, Elena Raceala has sought her own style, trying to express her emotions and artistic vision through works with surrealist or poetic inclinations.
