It was taken in Kirimatian, Kenya on Aug 13, 2023.
The picture illustrates the moment when the striped hyena leaves after drinking water. Striped hyenas, who like to hunt at night, live in arid areas and will travel long distances to find water sources after hunting.
You never know what will happen next in the nature, especially during night photographing. The endangered striped hyena has a low appearance, but its fluffy fur and body contours can only be fully displayed through night photography. This picture is aiming to awaken humans to improve the living conditions of this fascinating wild animal.
