DESCRIPTION
This photo shoot was truly one of the most important moments in my photography journey. Not only because it proposed many challenges starting with a lack of proper underwater housing for the camera and very cold water where we spent more than an hour. But also because it was and still is my most important project for a very personal reason: I always felt that my work was not worthy enough for myself and I wanted to test myself and see if I would truly love results. And I did, after that, my journey transformed and I learned to accept myself as an artist, which allowed me to love my works, even the early ones. Sentimental things aside, I wanted to capture the contrast between a cold unwelcoming environment and an elegant sensuality that withstands challenges. The visual concept required me to put my subject in a state of weightlessness that resonated with my inner feelings at the moment. Conditions were met in an old quarry filled with water during a windy day which added atmosphere making the water muddy.
