This series deals with time passing over people. The photos were taken in Sulawesi (Indonesia). The Toraja are an ethnic group with a particular relationship with death and their ancestors. The latter are mummified and regularly taken off their coffin to be newly dressed, staying several days in the village before being put again in their coffin.
The photo of the door was taken in an abandoned place. It illustrates the bridge between the world of the ancestors and the world of living beings.
