Reign of chaos
What is art? A decoration of life or something more? A quest? A result? A way to understand the world, God and oneself through beauty? Can art be understood at all or only felt? Is it represented philosophy? And what is beauty in this context?
How are the ideas for art pieces born? Are they invented by artists? Or are the ideas themselves in search of a real artist to be realized? Is an artist in that sense a creator or an instrument? What are imagination, inspiration and creativity really?
I believe there is an eternal, boundless, black ocean around the universe, the chaos from which everything was and is created. Artists are always subconsciously connected to it. This is where ideas and dreams come from. That's where inspiration and creativity come from. And art itself is an attempt to guide the chaos...
The project was realized in front of the Pont d`Alexandre, Paris.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I was born in Berlin in 1968 and studied psychology in Konstanz 21 years later. I have been working as an independent psychotherapist for about 20 years. In my work, I often sit in front of my patients and wish that at least once they could perceive themselves through my eyes at least once. Because every person, every animal, simply every being has its own inherent beauty and I want to make this beauty, this glow that slumbers in everyone visible. Photography provides me with just that.
For relationship photos, I also need to perceive this expression of intimacy, trust, solidarity, care and love and then press the shutter release at the right moment. It does not matter whether we look into the relationships between humans or between humans and animals.
If this succeeds, we have “captured” magical moments to which we can return again and again.
For the connection between psychotherapy and photography there should actually be a new job title: "Thera-grapher" or "Photo-pist" ("Thera-grafin" or "Foto-peutin") :-)
