This fine art photograph seeks to illustrate creation on two sides, the first, mankind & the second, nature. Nature with its flowing curves in juxtaposition to mans stark, straight architectural lines both of which come together in this scene. The entire scene is envelopped in the setting suns ethereal glow from the distant hills in the background, across the bay and toward the steps extending out into the ocean. The solitary silhouette looking out to the sun and horizon conveys a sense of expectation & hope whilst at the same time illustrating the insignificance of man in comparison to the vastness of nature.
The minimalist photographic composition, with large amounts of negative space gives the photo a sense of vastness as well as creating a feeling of serenity. The images post processing was made using a monochromatic palette avoiding any distractions as well as keeping with the photographs minimalist theme.
