PORTRAIT DE FAMILLE / FAMILY PORTRAIT (Series)
DESCRIPTION
In 2023, I initiated and produced a first photographic series, “Family Portraits.” This series is constructed as a mirror for observers. Here, the way we look at the photograph matters less than what it reflects back to us. Each photographic scene observes us and gives us an image of what we are deep down: beings locked in our certainties without real freedom and running towards decline, towards extinction. The animal side, this intimate part of what we are, but incapable of assuming it, certain of our superiority, is exposed in a laughable, ridiculous way. And yet this bestiary is, in my opinion, our ultimate lifeline.
