People nominee

The loss of a loved one sometimes reveals important truths, like an awakening and a new beginning. I arrive at the summer solstice with the awareness of having a life full of precious gifts that make me extremely happy: my family, friends, photography, running, and the light of dawn.
I took these photos thinking of my dear friend Serena, who left me a few days before this project, while I was listening to an album she introduced me to the last time we saw each other.

My Name is Francesca Floris, I’m from Nuoro which is a small town situated in Sardinia (Italy).
I’m graduated in advertising at Perugia University and I studied Photography at Dublin’s (Ireland) Griffith College . In 2010 I specialized in scene photography at “Accademia del Teatro alla scala “ in Milan. Now I work as a portrait and wedding photographer in Italy where I live.
