This work is about 『Never Sleeping...』.
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, as a social atmosphere that values one's own values has been formed, there has been a clear tendency to act and enjoy alone rather than together. In line with this life pattern, Near us, various categories of 24-hour open or unattended stores such as laundromats, restaurants, ice cream stores, pet product stores, cafes, and reading rooms are emerging, as well as familiar and common convenience stores. In particular, it is actively operating mainly with young people. It is expected that more diverse types of stores will be created in the future.
In particular, young people tend to be active mainly in dark times rather than in the daytime. This may be because young people can focus more on oneself.
Interested in these social phenomena, I began to work on 『Never Sleeping...』.
The work used a black background to emphasize the dark night time rather than the day time, and the psychological characteristics of reluctance to expose their life were partially covered and expressed using a screen bar.
I tried to work with a beautiful perspective on the things that are close to us and we often encounter, the things that 『Never Sleeping...』. I hope you can imagine many stories that will be hidden in the visual expression of the work with the work.
