I am a Turkish photojournalist based between Turkey and Ukraine. My work focuses on conflicts, migration and human rights violations around the world.
I started my journalism career covering the Syrian war in 2012. Since then, I have been working with Syrian communities in Turkey. From 2018 to 2020, I worked in Hawaii, India, China, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, producing stories on human rights violations as well as human-environment interactions driven by various political, social, and cultural processes.Since January 2022, I have been covering Ukraine, capturing the buildup to Russia’s war and subsequent invasion focusing on the human cost of the war.
