In a world where full hair is equated with beauty and femininity, this series portrays women with alopecia, to show the strength and beauty of the women affected. Alopecia is an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss and is often associated with emotional burdens. Each photograph tells its own individual story and challenges social ideals of beauty. The project aims to break the taboo surrounding bald women and show that beauty is not dependent on hair.
Currently, 14 women have been portrayed, each with their own story and unique perspective.
