Portrait nominee

To get a representative image of Juan Carlos Asensio, one of the deepest experts on medieval music, we went to a real 16th century monastery. He wears the typical clothing of that age and, at the moment when the photograph was taken, he was singing the lyrics and the music from a 500 year old codex.

I was on holidays and was about 12 years old when one day, captivated by the sunrise ethereal colours of the spanish coast, I asked my father if I could take his camera to photograph it. With 17, I spent my savings to buy my first SLR camera.
In the beginning, I was totally committed to nature photography, but when I was raising my children, it started my passion for portraits. Indeed, people photography matched perfectly my interest in psychology.
On 2019 I founded Zafiro Visual, a small photography, video and drone company specialized in artists portraits, as well as personal books and weddings.
