Life rarely unfolds the way we expect, and in that unpredictability lies its beauty. This analogue series captures moments of quiet resignation and unexpected hope, mirroring the ebb and flow of the tides. From desolate shorelines to distant horizons, the images reveal how life has a way of washing ashore the unexpected—symbols of possibility, renewal, and new beginnings.
The soft, blurred edges and reflective compositions convey a sense of surrender to the natural rhythm of life. In each frame, there’s a subtle interplay between what is fixed and what is fleeting, reminding us that even in stillness, the waves are always moving.
As you follow the sequence, let the gentle rise and fall of these images evoke the rhythm of waves—a visual metaphor for how life always carries us forward, even when we stand still.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Sina Poch, born 1995 in Cologne, initially studied art history. After years of strategic image analysis and interpretation of foreign art, she wanted to create something of her own and leave the analyzing to others. So she followed her heart and started studying photography. Between emotional chaos and world agony, she developed a passion for the surreal and dystopia. Whether self-deprecating and amusing or socially critical: Her photos should evoke emotions and reflection. For her, photography is not a means to an end, but a way of expressing yourself honestly. Through her affinity for past and future times, she creates a break from the present in her works. To put it in Egon Schiele's words: “Art cannot be modern; Art is eternal. "
