"This location is a lake surrounded by a dam in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan.
In this dam lake, snow melts from winter to spring, forming the lake. After May, the water is released for agricultural use, making this view truly a limited-time spectacle.
I found a symbolic tree and sought the perfect day when mist would beautifully settle, visiting for several years to capture it.
I was convinced that the best time to express the loneliness of the trees was before the leaves appeared. Therefore, during the season when few people visit this place, I was fortunate enough to have a canoe appear before my eyes.
In this fantastical landscape, the canoe passed by in the best position at the best timing, creating an ideal scene.
For me, this view remains an unforgettable and otherworldly experience."
