I traveled to Portugal and photographed this Lusitano stallion where he had so much fun playing around with its owner. He jumped for joy and showed off. The interaction between these two on the beautiful hills surrounding the arena was so lovely to see. I deleted all the background to show the essence of this beauty, his strength and absolute faith in his jump.

A leap of faith into the air.

As a self-taught artist, I bring instinct as well as experience to my work—years spent working with horses at an international level have given me an intimate understanding of their behaviour, character, and unique energy.
I now observe and photograph horses from a more intentional and visual perspective. My experience allows me to connect with them in a way that results in strong portraits that are both intimate and emotionally resonant. I also strive to capture not only the quiet beauty of the horse, but also moments of powerful and surreal movement.
