Sunset Ascent (Single)
DESCRIPTION
It was dusk in the Gulf of California of Baja California and we were out in a small zodiac near the most remote island in the gulf. Bottlenose dolphins surrounded us, feeding on anchovies and sardines - some of them breaking away to ride our bow wake and play nearby. With the light slowly fading, the color of the sky softened into orange as these two individuals exploded out of the water. There is so much luck that goes into capturing the right moment, and mine finally struck as they hit their apex unnaturally high above the sea.
