2025 - C-print - 180cm x 120cm. Fusion layered fig trees in a field. This composition consists of numerous photographs of leafless fig trees taken in a field from different viewpoints and distances. The images are layered and using color, contrast and opacity adjustments, they are then merged and edited in Photoshop using color and contrast adjustments, resulting in a composition that becomes a fragmented, multifaceted, abstract expression of the original subject. I call this style Fusion Photography. It has taken me several years to develop.
All the photos in the fusion process were taken on the same day using a Canon EOS R5 Mark II camera and Canon EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM lens.

AUTHOR
I was born in Barcelona in 1968. I grew up on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza where I attended Spanish, French and British schools before finishing high school in Mexico. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts in 1992 and moved to Berlin, Germany in 1993.
I am fascinated by the reflective and refractive imagery produced on the surface of and underwater. I also create multiple exposure, multi-layered, colorful, abstract compositions of subject matter photographed from various angles and distances. Some of these compositions consist of over a dozen layered photographs. I call this fusion photography.
I have been taking photographs for many years but have not yet exhibited my work. It's something I've done for myself out of pure enjoyment and passion. And now, I want to share how I see the world around me through a camera lens.
