Abstract nominee

These four images are Macro images of dandelions and thistle seed heads in various stages of their life cycle and give a different view of familiar objects that the viewer would not otherwise perceive. They are eight images that have been paired to give the viewer a story that they can interpret in their own way. Each of the eight images can give the viewer their own interpretation and pairing the images can change that interpretation. They were made using extension tubes ranging from 31mm to 65mm and using a 50mm f1.4 m42 film lens on a full frame camera. They were paired up using photoshop.

Ihave been an amateur photographer for approximately 12 years. I have tried a number of different genres over this period with most of my latter work being as a landscape photographer. Over the past two years I have become more interested in Macro photography and lately in abstract macro photography. I have only recently tried entering some of my images into International competitions so far with no success.
