This project investigates the dome not as a structural element, but as a "perceptual technology" for spiritual ascension. Each photograph, taken from the direct center looking up, deconstructs the unique syntax of these sacred ceilings—from the perfect, cosmic geometry of the Pantheon's oculus, a direct conduit to the divine, to the complex, narrative-rich frescoes of a Baroque cathedral, and the abstract, almost cellular patterns of an ancient mosque.
By isolating the dome from the rest of the structure, the series removes the earthly context and invites a purely vertical, contemplative gaze. It is an exploration of how different cultures, using different technologies and artistic languages, have all arrived at the same fundamental form to answer the same eternal question. These are not just ceilings; they are maps of the cosmos, engines of awe, and portals to the infinite, built by human hands.

AUTHOR
I forged a successful career as a technology entrepreneur. I founded red_mad_robot, a leading technology company which he grew over 20-fold during his tenure as CEO. After a period living and working in Turkey, I moved to London to further his scientific and research activities. I earned a Master of Science from Northeastern University London in 2025 and now lead a research program at the intersection of "Theory of Mind" and "Artificial Intelligence."
For Me, art and photography are essential methods for reflection. My photographic research explores the limits of perception in an era of visual oversaturation, serving as an artistic parallel to his scientific inquiry into how we see, think, and create meaning in a technologically complex world.
