"In Movement" is a photographic series created during my long trip across China, where I explored contemporary architecture in different cities such as Beijing, Chongqing and Shenzhen. I focused on curves, repetitions and sharp contrasts, trying to capture buildings from shifting viewpoints. Through black-and-white imagery, architecture dissolves into and abstract compositions, so that it is not immediately clear whether the viewer is looking at a building or an abstract structure.
I tried to bring together buildings connected by a similar sense of dynamic architecture. Traveling across China from north to south and visiting many different cities, I was finally able to assemble a collection of architectural forms that, at first glance, appear very different from one another.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I am a designer-illustrator and amateur photographer. My love for photography grew during photography lessons in college, where I developed a strong interest in visual observation and composition. Being also passionate about travel, I document nature and architecture through images and narratives, running an independent travel blog under a pseudonym Caterina Fors. My work is driven by curiosity, observation, and a strong appreciation for design and culture.
