We conceive this work as a meditation on inner light and impermanence, approached not as abstract concepts but as experiences rooted in matter and time. The image emerges from a deliberately slow process, where appearance and withdrawal coexist.
The figure is not treated as a portrait, but as a transitional presence, suspended between visibility and disappearance, resisting immediate recognition.
The platinum and palladium process allows the image to unfold gradually. Printed on washi paper, it engages a fragile surface marked by time. Mounted on gold leaf, the work holds a concealed luminosity — not as ornament, but as a latent structure sustaining the image from within.
