"Photographic emulsion detachment and manipulation with vinyl glue" (dimensions 40x60 cm).

The work stems from a desire to subvert the fixity of the traditional photographic image, freeing it from the rigidity of conventional iconography.
Photography is no longer a document, but a living material, restored to its precarious, ephemeral, and vulnerable nature.
It is a layering of memories, a collage of lived fragments that generates a visual flow in which memory never manifests itself with the clarity of reality, but resurfaces uncertainly, contaminated by the imagination.
Each memory is redefined the moment it is evoked, revealing its unstable and changeable dimension.
The central element is the photographic emulsion, separated from the original support and transformed into a thin, organic skin, suspended between presence and dissolution.
The use of vinyl glue becomes an act of metamorphosis: it decomposes and dissolves, but at the same time reconstructs, generating new forms and stripping the image of its claim to truthfulness.
What emerges is a fragile, pulsating, tactile body, presented to the gaze as a dreamlike testimony.
Memory becomes object, a trace of time exposed to light as a metaphor for the slowly fading memory.

Born in Bronese in 1966, he has participated in the Ferrara Art Biennale, the Fotografia Europea festival in Reggio Emilia, live performances in Turin with his quantum portraits, happenings and solo exhibitions in cities such as Ferrara, Venice, Pavia, Turin, Voghera, and a major retrospective at the Castello di Bonassola (La Spezia), with 150 photographs divided into various projects.
