The original image is of a windswept tree permanently changed through the extremities of the weather found on Dartmoor. Deformed yet beautiful through natures constant endeavours, both in the trees internal growth (microcosm) and external manipulation (macrocosm) - A jet plane passes by almost unnoticed, like its contribution to the accumulative pollution of ‘Our Home’. It travels in the far distance across the sky from left to right - Is its airflow impacting on the polluted clouds smothering the leafless, skeletal branches of the trees below?! Surely not, it’s too far away! Maybe it’s humanities final failure - The Deafening (deathening) Final Blast of Total Self-Obliteration (Hence the bleaching of any colour and shadow lit - X-ray, radiation-like) - The two major threats to our collective existence - Climate Change & War, both self-made.
I enjoy working with digital montage (experimental manipulation) Both through photography and video - Hope for Humanity being a core interest.
Thank You for viewing and reading.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I have always loved photography, initially in the traditional sense from taking portraits in the studio to exploring and capturing landscapes, I still continue to do these forms of photography today. Then as a young artist (studying) I had the oppurtunity to delve further into creativity and express myself and my thoughts through using the many media that were available to me at the time.
Both in my BTEC National (General Art & Design) & Fine Art Degree (Hons) I would explore art through drawing, painting, sculpture, installation, conceptual & written processes and as time progressed digital media.
Photography has always been a constant through my development as an artist, either to document/support the other media or having a more central role in any particular final artwork. I find my work as an artist has progressed along a similar path to my personal experience of photography from my early analog/darkroom days, being more tactile like using paint and clay, to gradually becoming more conceptual with my approach as everything progressed into the digital age.
I established 'illumφgraphy' at the beginning of 2012 as a way of promoting my work through various social media and other internet/gallery platforms.
