DESCRIPTION
Once upon a time, there was a secret land, far from the noise of the world, nestled in the
protective embrace of the mountains. By the edge of a great lake, shimmering like a fragment
of a dream, lies a small town, drawing visitors from the four corners of the earth.
Away from it, hidden from prying eyes, stretches an enchanting clearing, bordered by a river.
It is here, nestled under a cloak of lush greenery, amidst a tangle of caravans, that a strange
people dwell — elves with the appearance of demons. This place, beyond time, norms and
conventions, has been my refuge for… sixteen years?
Sixteen years — that’s Leni's age. Born and raised in this sanctuary, she embodies the magic
of this wondrous and unique place. The creations of Thomas Clément, drawn from a world of
fantasy, harmonize organically with this universe where references collide. This photographic
series offers a peephole, a glimpse through the reeds, a tear in the shōji.
