Baltis Vallis (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Baltis Vallis is a 4200-mile-long channel located on planet Venus and is the longest channel in the solar system. The lava flow channel winds through a long row of volcanic plains spreading north to south between wrinkle ridges. The long row of plains is located a little east of center planet in the northern hemisphere. To verify this location, I matched the topography surrounding the channel on this enhanced Venus photo to that on a NASA photo of the channel.
