This is a photo of a moai called A Vere, known as the “Traveling Moai”. Capturing this image took months of planning, including obtaining special permission to enter the national park at 4 AM—hours before it officially opens.
Everything aligned perfectly that night: the weather cooperated, and the Milky Way appeared just where I had anticipated (thanks PhotoPills). It was an incredible experience, made even more special by having the location almost entirely to myself until sunrise.
