The Abstract Configuration of the images, which takes up and reinterprets the colors and forms of the model, aims to deeply fascinate the viewer. Through the reduction to essential lines, planes, and dynamic color combinations, a visual tension is created that goes beyond mere depiction. This artistic strategy serves not only aesthetics but is specifically intended to initiate a process of reflection.
The interplay of representational suggestion and complete abstraction invites the audience to question familiar ways of seeing and to seek emotional or intellectual resonance in the non-representation. The works thus function as a thought-provoking impulse, pointing beyond the model as a mere motif and encouraging engagement with the themes of identity, perception, and artistic interpretation. Ultimately, the concentrated aesthetic of the composition is intended to captivate the viewers and lead to a lasting inner movement.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
My name is Mike Böhlen and photography has been part of my life for a long time now. I found my way into photography through travelling. My basic photography knowledge is self-taught but I deepened it with a photography study at a renowned school in Zurich, Switzerland. At the moment I offer photo shoots for private clients and I also work as a mentor at Viewfinder Mastery, an online photography school. In addition to being a photographer, I also work in computer science at the ZHdK (Zurich University of Arts). Since you never stop learning, I like to refine my photography knowledge and skills with workshops and I regularly exchange ideas with other photography enthusiasts.
