Nudes nominee

This picture captures the beauty and allure of Svetlana, the most talented model I have ever worked with. In a classical studio setting, she stands nude behind a large sheet of transparent painter’s foil, with her breasts concealed while the graceful silhouette of her hips and curves is subtly visible. Her head tilts downward, eyes seemingly closed, mouth slightly open, radiating quiet sensuality.

The foil, originally intact and later cut with deliberate openings, allows selective parts of her body to appear while preserving modesty and indirect exposure. Through one prominent cut, her upper body and arm emerge with elegance, creating a dynamic tension between concealment and revelation.

The image challenges conventional notions of eroticism while conveying the idea of unattainable beauty. Svetlana’s presence - partially hidden, partially revealed - suggests that beauty of this intensity always feels beyond reach, existing at a distance even in moments of closeness. The work thus becomes a vision that reflects how her rare beauty and perfectly shaped body appeared in real life: powerful, enigmatic, and untouchable.

This interplay between concealment and revelation transforms the picture into both homage and vision, capturing beauty as something that transcends touch and remains eternally elusive.

It all started when I moved to Germany in 1990 and started to work with amateur models. I learned nude photography with the professional photographer Arboulan in the late 90s. As of 2004, I further learned from the Hungarian artist Szeni Jung. I then decided to start my project Venusonearth, including my own website, being a member of photo communities, and participating in foto contests.
My first ambition was to get printed in the French magazine PHOTO. I succeeded in 2007 and got printed eight times since. I then focused on my main project (2012-2017) and built a portfolio of nudes and portraits with the amateur model Julia who became my first muse.
After more than 30 years, I am still a passionate amateur photographer. Through my work with more than 100 models, I've succeeded in organizing one exhibition in Miskolc, Hungary, and getting international recognition, including 5 gold medals, several honorable mentions, jury choices and many acceptances, Contest juries from Trierenberg in Austria, the German Open Circuit, Riedisheim in France, and the Dodho magazine have appreciated my work and motivated me to continue my creative work.
