Nudes nominee

Antonia stands amidst the ruins of a crumbling house. The outside light carves her silhouette, intensifying the moment with striking clarity. Rendered in monochrome, the image suggests permanence beyond visible decay. In her hands rests a violin - its poised strings evoking melodies, an echo of artistry persisting against the erosion of time.

Every element of the composition speaks of resilience and quiet strength. Antonia’s nudity is presented as natural, transcending conventional eroticism; her form becomes part of the landscape — transient yet eternal. The contrast between her presence and the collapsing walls reveals beauty’s ability to endure even as destruction advances.

This picture invites reflection on art’s power to defy impermanence. The violin, a symbol of human creativity, stands in stark opposition to the ruins — remnants of what once was. Yet in this tension emerges a balance between creation and decay. But who is Antonia playing for? Is it a moment of solitude, or a performance for an unseen audience? Her gaze refuses to answer. Instead, it offers quiet defiance — a reminder that even in the face of impermanence, there is grace, resilience, and the enduring mystery of expression.

It all started when I moved to Germany in 1990 and started to work with amateur models. I learned nude photography with the professional photographer Arboulan in the late 90s. As of 2004, I further learned from the Hungarian artist Szeni Jung. I then decided to start my project Venusonearth, including my own website, being a member of photo communities, and participating in foto contests.
My first ambition was to get printed in the French magazine PHOTO. I succeeded in 2007 and got printed eight times since. I then focused on my main project (2012-2017) and built a portfolio of nudes and portraits with the amateur model Julia who became my first muse.
After more than 30 years, I am still a passionate amateur photographer. Through my work with more than 100 models, I've succeeded in organizing one exhibition in Miskolc, Hungary, and getting international recognition, including 5 gold medals, several honorable mentions, jury choices and many acceptances, Contest juries from Trierenberg in Austria, the German Open Circuit, Riedisheim in France, and the Dodho magazine have appreciated my work and motivated me to continue my creative work.
