DESCRIPTION
To know who we are, we must return to where we began
We come from roots that, though invisible, shape our very existence.
This image is a visual meditation on identity, inheritance, and the primal memory encoded within the body—what the mind often forgets, the body silently remembers.
It reveals the emotional threads that quietly weave through generations—longing, pain, the strength to endure.
Every family tree conceals roots soaked in the unspoken, yet ever-present.
The tree in the photograph transcends its natural symbolism—it becomes a living metaphor for our ancestors, subconscious, and emotions passed down without words.
The figures, bare in their essence, reconnect with the earth and memory—entwined with what has shaped them, reaching toward what is hidden and forgotten.
This is a story of inherited emotional DNA—a memory that lives within us and endures through us.
AUTHOR
I am lucky enough to be able dedicate my free time to photography. Photography is not my source of income, so I can pursue it without restrictions. The surrounding world still offers stories that I want to tell. Being honest how and why I tell them is still a mystery to me.
Almost everything inspires me. People, legends, places, music, dreams. I'm not asking for my dreams. They come unexpected when I close my eyes. They are intrusive, elusive, full of ragged events. They appear and disappear, often before I have a good look at them.
