Within the body of work that I am working on and in which my true voice as an artist comes out, I always aim to go beyond. beyond reality, beyond first glance and to create a mythical wonder. A piece where the viewer has the freedom to create further within their minds.

the other side is a work where wonder lives, in the not knowing, in the pause, in the magic of what might be waiting just beyond the veil on the other side.

With this body of work the horse becomes art, no longer just an animal, but a mystery, a symbol, a mirror for the viewers own emotions.

Hi, My name is Evelien and I am an upcoming Dutch photographer whose work evokes the raw intimacy of emotion and the quiet strength of the natural world. With a background in Anthrozoology and Animal training and coaching, and a life shaped by resilience, my heart and then my lens turned towards capturing the essence of a being, be that human or animal, by embracing their details, and with that capturing their soul, energy and silent language with poetic precision. My portfolio might not be of the biggest, yet, but my work is big in meaning, in purpose and in giving the world a vision to think about. A frame, a shot, to keep coming back to and to find new beauty within it at every new visit.
