Archetypal objects (Series)
DESCRIPTION
According to C. G. Jung, archetypes are psychological patterns and universal primal images that are anchored in the collective unconscious of all human beings. They manifest themselves in myths, fairy tales, symbols, dreams, and typical roles and behaviors. About a dozen archetypes shape our lives, including the hero, the rebel, the ruler, the fool, the sage, and more. We encounter archetypes not only in books and films, but also in everyday life. Even objects can radiate the aura of archetypal figures. This observation inspired my photo project, which depicts such objects without people.
