Photojournalism nominee

These photos were taken during the hectic Palisades fires, and specifically during the Kenneth Fire in West Hills. I originally saw the smoke coming near my house, and instead of trying to evacuate, I ran inside my house, grabbed my camera, and ran over to the site, where firemen and police were already surrounding the area. I tried to capture the destruction and work by the firefighters to put out the wildfire. When I was getting calls and texts to evacuate and stay safe, I stayed taking photos. I wanted to document every moment, even if it got worse.
