DESCRIPTION
"EXTINCT" imagines a world where prehistoric creatures walk alongside modern landscapes, blurring the lines between eras to highlight the precariousness of our existence. Laced with irony, the collection draws parallels between the extinction of dinosaurs and humanity’s own uncertain future, urging viewers to reflect on the consequences of self-destructive behavior.
Employing her signature multilayered technique, EdgeStretching combines original photographs of dinosaur skeletons with a diverse array of cityscapes and natural environments. This fusion of imagery underscores the universal reach of extinction, emphasizing that no corner of the world is immune to its impact.
Through "EXTINCT," Mucchi prompts us to consider the lessons of the past before it's too late.
AUTHOR
AKA EdgeStretching.
Italian, born in 1969, she lives and works, as a multimedia production manager for communication, in Brussels.
After studying computer graphics and animation at UCLA in California, she worked for over 20 years in the audio-visual sector.
In recent years, she has also been exploring photography, video and animation in personal artistic projects.
March 8th 2023 she launched her on-chain Digital Art project.
