FADE OUT (Series)
DESCRIPTION
FADE OUT documents patterns drawn by a child on a water-writing sheet using a brush. The marks gradually disappear as the surface dries. This work composites ten images captured at regular intervals, focusing on the process of fading itself.
AUTHOR
Matsuhiko Maruyama was born in 1981 in Niigata, Japan. He completed the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Arts, Osaka University of Arts, in 2010. He currently lives and works in Hokkaido.
