Through the Veil of Silence (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Photographed in Imilchil, in Morocco’s Middle Atlas, this portrait is part of the project Guardians of Silence. The young girl appears behind a plastic-covered window, her gaze both direct and distant, filtered through scratches, stains, and the fragile surface that separates us. The texture of the glass transforms the image into something between reality and memory, echoing the fragility of childhood and the weight of silence that often surrounds it. Without any staging or alteration, the scene emerged naturally, a fleeting moment of observation that became an intimate encounter. This photograph seeks to reveal how presence can pierce through barriers, turning an ordinary instant into a reflection on vulnerability, resilience, and the quiet force of human connection.
