Some moments you can't plan, you can only hope to catch them.
On a cold December morning, we ventured outdoors with Julia, our human model, and Charlie, a beautiful long-eared owl. We explored different poses, trying to capture the quiet bond between them.
And then it happened: Charlie settled on Julia’s shoulder, and for a brief second, their faces aligned in the most perfect way, as if they belonged together.
I hit the shutter almost in panic, hoping desperately that focus and timing would be on my side.
This image was the result: a rare, fleeting moment of connection between human and animal.
It remains one of my personal favorites and still hangs proudly in my home.
Sometimes, all you need is a little luck... and a lot of heart.
