Seascape nominee

The Sea Serpent sculpture is located in Saint-Breven-les-Pins, France, where the Loire River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Weather conditions are an integral part of landscape photography. In this case, the ocean's water level, waves, and long exposure helped create this minimalist landscape.

Rolandas Urbonavicius is an independent photographer based in Germany. Using black-and-white photography and long exposures, he captures the changing landscape as a reflection of human emotion. His “slow photography” approach creates a subtle, sometimes surreal atmosphere that invites reflection.
