Seascape nominee

When fog hangs over the lake and the calm wind transforms it into a mirror, the sky and earth merge into a horizonless infinity. The landscape takes on an atmospheric, dreamlike, almost poetic character, silence is omnipresent, and nature finds itself in a kind of trance-like state. Since my childhood, the lake has attracted me like a magnet, fascinating and captivating me at the same time. It is a very special place with many memories, whose existence today is threatened by climate change and human error.

Born in Vienna in 1960, I worked as an IT consultant until retirement. After early explorations of photography, I returned in 2014, attending seminars and workshops. In 2018, I began studies at a private academy for photography, film and media design, completing the “Masterclass in Artistic Photography” with honour in 2021. Since then, I have worked as a freelance photographer focusing on artistic landscapes, inspired by Renaissance and Romantic painters, as well as contemporary photographers like Ansel Adams and Sebastião Salgado.

Since 2021 presentation of my works at various solo and group exhibitions and at photo fairs in Austria.

Winning a gold medal in 2021 and a bronze medal in 2023 at the VIEPA International Photo Award and the EPEX España Photo Exhibition Award.

2021 publication of the photo book “Straßen im Schatten #1” in self-publishing. 2022 Illustration of the edition of an Austrian literary magazine.
