Street Photography nominee

This photograph shows one side of the main concert hall in Luxembourg City, called the Philharmonie. I awaited the morning sunlight to illuminate the structure, revealing a dynamic interplay of highlights, shadows, and intricate details across its geometric facade and its columns.
As I composed the shot, a solitary man walked through the scene, his silhouette adding a human element to the otherwise stark environment, captured spontaneously at that moment.
I chose to edit in black and white to enhance the contrast and emphasize the architectural form.

Making photographs for 35 years now as an amateur, started with my own black & white dark room, switched to colour slides and learned to see and frame the shot before pushing the shutter as back then it wasn't a cheap endeavour. Your shot was either ok (sometimes great) or just for the trash bin. Now I'm happily post-processing my digital pictures. Mostly interested in capturing the less standard sometimes unexpected or awkward moments, to evoke emotions. My first rule: wherever you go always have a camera with you!
