I took this photograph in Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, enveloped in a thick fog that seemed to erase the town’s outlines. I was drawn to the starkness of the old wooden shed, perched on uneven stilts. Its dark reflection plunges into the still water, creating an almost ghostly symmetry.
The houses in the background barely emerge from the mist. The weathered wood, the closed windows, and the absence of human figures intensify a sense of serene isolation. I wanted to capture that suspended stillness, where the fog reveals the essence of the place: the understated strength of the Canadian Atlantic coast.
