On that winter day it was very cold and the cat was in the window, in the sun. When I entered the kitchen the cat heard the noise and tried to identify who it was, because every time I sat down she wanted affection. As there was only a small gap in the curtain, the cat got up and made several movements, first trying to listen, then trying to smell and, without success, she sat down and tried to see who had arrived. It was the moment I recorded this image. The cat tried to see through the small gap, placing herself in a position facing the curtain, with the sun at her back, producing a symmetrical shadow on the curtain. The cat no longer lives with us, but images have this power, to remember good times.
