Alex Kusnetz "Corners as Thoughts"
Urban surfaces can be perceived as emotional terrains — rough or delicate, faded or vivid. They reflect inner human states and the atmosphere of place. These textures form the background of existence. And from time to time, something appears on that background — a simple thought, a quiet desire, a subtle shift in perception.
A corner, with its sharp angle breaking the visual rhythm, becomes the shape of such a thought. It marks a moment — a personal impulse within the architecture of everyday life.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
My official name is Alexey Kuznetsov, but I work under the artistic name Alex Kusnetz. (For registration purposes I use my legal name, but I kindly ask to list my works under my artistic name.)
Born in 1980 in Minsk (Belarus), I have been living in Bernau bei Berlin since 2021.
My main focus is abstract photography. Since 2015 I have participated in numerous group exhibitions. My first solo exhibition took place in 2018 in Minsk under the title “Cycles”, which was dedicated to the abstraction of natural forms and elements.
In Germany, my photographic approach has been shaped by the influence of both traditional and contemporary architecture. From the observation of lines, rhythms, and geometric structures, I developed my own artistic style.
From July 25 to August 25, 2025, I presented my first solo exhibition in Germany. Under the title “Aus der Nähe”, the exhibition took place in the atrium of the historic Martin-Gropius-Krankenhaus in Eberswalde and featured 30 photographic works printed on canvas.
