DESCRIPTION
The hunger for validation has many guises.
Body image disorders have reached epidemic proportions in modern societies where a distorted ideal of the female body prevails. Unchanged, it seems to be nothing more than raw material that needs to be shaped in order to be socially accepted.
AUTHOR
Melanie Haberkorn is a freelance artist living in Cologne, Germany. After working as a criminal defense attorney she decided to study photography and graduated from the Photo Academy Cologne in 2018.
Her works have been awarded numerous prizes in competitions, published in professional journals and exhibited internationally.
