My Last Human Boyfriend. Chapter 1: Lust Before AI
Set in a confined, monochromatic red space, My Last Human Boyfriend reflects on desire and the blurred boundaries between human intimacy and artificial experience. The piece was created through a process of filming a scene, photographing it, recording it onto DVD, and re-filming the projection : a continuous loop between reality and its reproduction. Each repetition subtly alters the image, mirroring how emotion and memory are reshaped through mediation and technology.
AUTHOR
Viky García was born in 1980 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
From a young age, she has lived periodically in the United States, Spain, southeast Asia, Italy and Australia.
García studied photography, video, art therapy, Butoh and experimental theater in Barcelona and New York, among other cities. Her art today draws on all of these disciplines, adapting them to each project. Her work has been featured in festivals, art magazines and international exhibitions, in addition to solo shows that combine photography, installation, and performance, in New York and Barcelona.
She currently lives in Ibiza.
