DESCRIPTION
In the end, it is up to us what wie pass on to the next generation.
The main focus of this series is an evolution of female fairytale characters. Their original role of victim in need of rescuing with its uncertainty and distress is replaced by a sense of strength, confidence and even defiance. Atmospheric light, colours, mimic, posture and symbolic props convey the new interpretation that the viewer is encouraged to explore. - Can you identify the originals behind the new stagings?
AUTHOR
Melanie Haberkorn is a freelance artist living in Cologne, Germany. After working as a criminal defense attorney she decided to study photography and graduated from the Photo Academy Cologne in 2018.
Her works have been awarded numerous prizes in competitions, published in professional journals and exhibited internationally.
